Chinese Acupuncture |
Acupuncture is undoubtedly the most
common tool which traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners use. It is
best explained as the insertion of hair thin needles on specific locations on
the body referred to as acupuncture points. Acupuncture has the unique
ability to regulate bodily systems which are out of balance (i.e. disease).
Acupuncture is a component of traditional Chinese medicine that
originated in China over 5,000 years ago.
The best solution would be to combine
Chinese acupuncture with a natural fertility drug (herbal combination). Make
sure you partner with a trained and licensed acupuncturist/herbalist - they can
help you immensely! Chinese Medicine Fertility has some wisdom and research to
add to the topic of fertility.
In traditional Chinese acupuncture, very fine
needles are inserted into specific points along the meridians. Mild
electric stimulation may be attached to the needles for a portion of the
session, and always remains within the patient’s comfort level. The purpose of
acupuncture is to balance the flow of Qi, which represents the yang in yin-yang,
and its substantive other half, called Blood, which represents the yin (this is
not literally your blood, but conceptually similar). Acupuncture achieves this
by applying pressure in a variety of ways-not just needle stimulation-along the
meridians to bring Qi or Blood to an area that's lacking, to drain them from
areas that have an excess or clear them if they're found to be stagnant.
So basically Chinese acupuncture is a
collection of procedures involving penetration of the skin with needles to
stimulate certain points on the body.
There are numerous theories about how
acupuncture works. Some of them are:
- Acupuncture stimulates the release of pain-relieving endorphins.
- Acupuncture influences the release of neurotransmitters, substances that transmit nerve impulses to the brain.
- Acupuncture influences the autonomic nervous system.
- Acupuncture stimulates circulation.
- Acupuncture influences the electrical currents of the body.
There are thousands of acupoints on
the body and they're all located on meridians (about 300 or so are located on
the primary meridians). These acupoints may be stimulated by a several forms of
pressure, like acupuncture needles, acupressure, massage or cupping. Which
meridians receive pressure and how much pressure they receive depends on the
needs of the individual
Chinese Acupuncture does work with
SOME people by the placebo effect, this is a really powerful effect made all
the stronger by all the time and attention that an acupuncturist spends with
clients, also the mystical charts and the twiddling of needles also adds
greatly to this effect. Acupuncture again works on SOME people with vague
symptoms like lower back pain, symptoms that are also 'cured' by homoeopathy,
laying on of hands, crystal power etc.
Chinese acupuncture, Chinese herbal
remedies and Chinese cupping have been a popular alternative medicine
worldwide. Its natural way of healing from the inside using plants and herbs
ensure that there will be no side effects. It eliminates toxins, improve and
strengthen the immune system naturally by balancing the flow of energy in the
body.
